Virginia Corset
The Virginia Corset is one of the pieces from the Bloomsbury Collection, which is inspired by the historical Charleston House and it's gardens, owned by Vanessa Bell and visited frequently by the Bloomsbury group in the early to mid 20th century.
This particular garment is named after Vanessa's sister, Virginia Woolf, who in her novel Orlando wrote that clothes "change our view of the world and the world's view of us".
The floral tapestry side of the corset is reminiscent of Charleston House's wild garden in full bloom, but is actually taken from 1940s British Airways aeroplane seat upholstery. The sheer tie sleeves and lilac satin are reclaimed materials. This corset is fully reversible and lightly boned with spiral steel boning, and is one of one.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Not suitible for washing machine use.
Instead, try dabbing gently with a cloth soaked in warm water and mild soap. For any really rank, persistent stains, I would recommend going to a dry cleaners.
Ideally, iron tapestry side up with a protective layer of fabric in between corset and iron. Steam will work best if you have it.
Hang to dry.
